Every Print Begins With a Journey.
Uncharted Print was born from a simple belief: a photograph can preserve more than a moment it can preserve a feeling.
I've always had an eye for beautiful places and a deep appreciation for nature. What fascinates me about photography is the ability to capture a moment and allow it to live far beyond the time and place where it happened.
Uncharted Print is my way of sharing those moments with the world transforming personal experiences and perspectives into fine art that can be experienced every day.
My Story / Why i Photograph
I've always been drawn to beautiful places, nature, simplicity and calmness.
When I'm behind the camera, I feel like I have the power to create, inspire and tell a story from my perspective. I'm not simply trying to document what I see. I'm looking for something within the moment the emotion, the atmosphere, the composition, the feeling of calm, or a perspective that makes an ordinary scene feel different.
For me, photography is about preserving memories.
I want a photograph to bring back the feeling you had when you first experienced a place even years later.
Moving to Cape Town was the beginning of a long-desired dream. The landscapes, ocean, culture, creative freedom and opportunities to explore showed me that photography could become something much bigger.
That experience eventually became the foundation for Uncharted Print.
The Journey Behind The Image
Every photograph has a journey behind it.
It begins with being there experiencing a place, noticing something that makes me stop, finding the perspective, and deciding that the moment is worth preserving.
Some locations are carefully planned. Others are discovered unexpectedly.
I'm naturally drawn to simplicity and calmness because I believe there is beauty in the unnoticed.
Landscapes, coastlines, cities, people and cultures all play a role in telling that story.
When you purchase an Uncharted Print, you're not simply purchasing an image.
You're bringing home a piece of a journey.
Why Photographs Become Prints
For a long time, I used my own photographs as wallpapers because I wanted to live with the moments I had captured.
Friends would often ask where I had downloaded them from because some of the images looked too good to be true.
That made me realise that these photographs could become something more than files on a screen.
We spend so much of our lives surrounded by screens. A physical photograph gives us a reason to pause.
To look.
To remember.
To feel.
That's why I turn these moments into fine art prints to preserve them for a lifetime and bring a sense of calm and serenity into the spaces people call home.
Why Uncharted Print
The name Uncharted comes from the spirit of exploration.
It's about discovering places, experiencing them from your own perspective and preserving those moments along the way.
To me, that spirit of exploration can't be broken.
The larger vision behind Uncharted Print is to travel the world and create a curated collection of meaningful moments from different places, cultures and landscapes.
The goal isn't simply to sell photographs.
It's to give people the opportunity to bring places that inspire them into their homes through fine art.
Why Collect Fine Art
A photograph on a screen can be viewed for a moment.
A physical artwork can become part of your everyday environment.
It can change the atmosphere of a room, remind you of somewhere you've been, inspire somewhere you want to go, or simply give you a moment of calm when you walk past it.
That's what I want Uncharted Print to create.
Artwork that you don't just look at artwork that you live with.
Selected works are also released as limited editions, giving collectors the opportunity to own a physical piece of a particular moment in the Uncharted journey.
Our Vision
Uncharted Print began with one collection and one perspective, but the vision extends far beyond a single coastline.
Over the next 5–10 years, I want Uncharted Print to become a leading destination for fine art photography from around the world.
A place where people can discover and collect photographs of the places, cultures, landscapes and structures that inspire them without having to travel there themselves.
The long-term vision is simple:
To bring the world home through fine art photography.
A curated journey of life's moments, transformed into fine art prints.
The Launch Of Uncharted Print
Uncharted Print officially began with Coastal Calm, the brand's debut collection.
The collection was created from a series of coastal moments captured around Cape Town places where the ocean, landscape, light and stillness come together.
Coastal Calm represents the beginning of the Uncharted journey.
It is the first chapter of a much larger collection that will continue to grow as the journey expands around the world.
The Coastal Calm Exhibition
On 25 July 2026, Uncharted Print brought Coastal Calm to life through its opening exhibition at The Electric, District Six, Cape Town.
What began as photographs captured along the coast became physical artworks displayed together for people to experience in person.
The exhibition welcomed more than 80 guests and marked an important moment for the brand taking Uncharted Print from a digital store and turning it into a physical experience.
It was an opportunity to share the collection, meet people who connected with the work and officially begin the journey of Uncharted Print.
Coastal Calm was only the beginning.
About the Founder
Uncharted Print was founded by Samuel Ogomugoro, a photographer driven by exploration, nature and the preservation of meaningful moments.
His approach to photography is rooted in finding beauty in simplicity and capturing places from a personal perspective.
For Samuel, the camera is more than a tool for documentation. It is a way to create, inspire and tell stories.
His long-term ambition is to travel the world, discover new perspectives and build a collection of photographs that allows people everywhere to experience those moments through fine art.
Uncharted Print is the extension of that vision.
